Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy applies to Washington State residents and supplements our Privacy Policy. It describes how ClientACQ handles information that may qualify as "consumer health data" under the Washington My Health My Data Act.
1. What Consumer Health Data We Collect
When you complete our case review form, you may tell us:
- Whether you were injured in an accident
- The type and date of the accident
- A description of what happened, which may reference injuries or treatment
Information that identifies your past, present or future physical or mental health status may constitute consumer health data. We collect it directly from you, only when you choose to submit the form.
2. Why We Collect It
We collect this information for one purpose: to evaluate whether your potential injury claim may be a fit for an independent attorney in our network, and to pass that information to attorneys so they can assess your claim. We do not use consumer health data for behavioural advertising or profiling.
3. Who We Share It With
- Independent, third-party attorneys and law firms in our network who may evaluate or handle your claim
- Service providers who process form submissions, host our systems, route calls, or certify consent on our behalf
We do not share consumer health data with advertising networks or data brokers.
4. Consent
We collect and share consumer health data only after you affirmatively opt in by checking the consent box and submitting the form. Your consent to the collection of this information is separate from, and not conditioned on, any purchase or service. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
5. Sale of Consumer Health Data
ClientACQ receives compensation from attorneys in our network when we refer a potential client. Depending on how it is characterised, that arrangement may be treated as a "sale" of consumer health data under Washington law. Where valid authorization is required, we obtain it separately before any such transfer, and we do not sell consumer health data to any party outside our attorney network.
6. Your Rights Under Washington Law
If you are a Washington resident, you have the right to:
- Confirm whether we are collecting, sharing or selling your consumer health data, and access that data
- Withdraw consent to our collection and sharing of your consumer health data
- Request deletion of your consumer health data
- Receive a list of third parties with whom we have shared or sold your consumer health data, including contact information for each
- Appeal a denial of any request, and to contact the Washington State Attorney General if your appeal is denied
7. How to Exercise Your Rights
Send your request to privacy@statesinjuryhelp.com with the subject line "Washington Consumer Health Data Request". Include the name, phone number and email you submitted so we can locate your record. We will respond within the timeframe required by law. You may also use an authorized agent, and we may take reasonable steps to verify identity and authority.
8. Deletion Requests
If you request deletion, we will delete your consumer health data from our records and notify the third parties to whom we have shared or sold it, as required by law. Attorneys who have already received your information hold it independently and may retain it under their own obligations; we will pass your deletion request on to them.
9. Data Retention
We retain consumer health data only as long as necessary for the purpose described above, or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.
